Samsung may be planning on a controversial move with its smartphones for the next year. A report claims that the company might not bundle chargers with new smartphones, as a means to reduce cost. The report stated that details about this plan are not clear or confirmed at the moment, but industry sources have told the publication that Samsung was discussing this strategy. If this does come to fruition, Samsung may be able to price its phones more aggressively. According to the report by South Korean publication ETNews, Samsung is planning to not include a wall charger in the retail packaging of its smartphones from next year. It is believed that the company is doing this to cut down on the ever-increasing costs of smartphones. According to an image posted to the Club Huawei forums (h/t  Piunikaweb ), a number of Huawei, Honor, and tablet devices will receive the EMUI 11 update later this year. Of the devices listed, only the Huawei P40 series, MatePad tablet, and Honor 9X Pro debuted in 2020. The Huawei Mate X foldable is also included, as well as the entire Mate 30 range, and the nearly two-year-old Mate 20X and Mate 20 Pro. Huawei’s P30 and P30 Pro flagships, which are still worth their salt, are also included. Britain’s National Cyber Security Centre has increased the pressure, urging that Huawei equipment be removed from the country’s networks on the grounds that the new US restrictions will force it to resort to “untrusted” technology solutions. The  Sydney Morning Herald  reported on Monday that Huawei had “lost the anglosphere”. Recent reports indicate that France, which had also opted for a compromise by restricting Huawei from the core of its network and from Paris, but allowing it in the rest of the country, is now considering a multi-year phase out of all Huawei equipment.
